With an existing living space that felt just a little too cramped, Bas was looking for a quick and effortless solution to enlarge his living room.
It was at that point that Kempen-Units came into the picture and offered an innovative solution.
In this story, we discover how Kempen-Units successfully created an additional living space on top of the existing one, and how they dealt with the challenges of the complex site.
Creating space, overcoming obstacles, realizing dreams.
Bas found himself in a complex situation. His home was located in a neighborhood full of accessibility challenges. Not wanting to go through the hassle of a traditional remodel, he instead sought a quick and practical alternative. Kempen-Units offered the perfect solution with a 2.9×6-meter modular unit that was placed contiguous to his existing living space.
A striking feature of this additional living space was the abundant natural light, made possible by the large windows. This created an open and inviting atmosphere, allowing the new living space to blend seamlessly with Bas’ existing living space.
One of the biggest challenges was the complex location of Bas’ home in the neighborhood. Limited access and obstacles in the area made placement of the modular unit a logistical challenge.
Kempen-Units, however, showed that they are prepared for such situations. They used a heavy crane to position the unit with precision, even in the most difficult conditions.
This project for Bas perfectly illustrates Kempen-Units’ commitment to providing practical and innovative solutions to their clients.
The additional living space placed adjacent to Bas’ existing home not only transformed his living environment, but also improved his quality of life.
